On 22 August, delve into the fascinating history of the Outaouais region with a lecture by historian Michel Prévost about Jos Montferrand at the Maison du Domaine Fairview, presented by the Musée régional de l'Outaouais. This event will reveal the man behind the myth: his life, his exploits and his significance in French-Canadian heritage. On 28 August, attend the lecture 'L'inestimable beauté des chutes Chaudières' (The Priceless Beauty of the Chaudière Falls). Hosted by Louise N. Boucher, this event will take you on a journey to discover how the falls, located between Gatineau and Ottawa, have inspired many artists. Through a series of iconic works, explore the evolution of this emblematic site to its contemporary reality. From 23 August, immerse yourself in Sophie Roy's unique world at the Centre d'action culturelle de la MRC Papineau. Using alternative photography, paintings and mixed media, the artist creates poetic and symbolic works that encourage reflection on our relationship with nature, time and contemporary society. This new exhibition invites you to slow down, observe differently, and open yourself to a vision of the world in constant transformation.

On 6 August, enjoy an unforgettable evening at the Hôtel-Casino Lac-Leamy - Loto-Québec-owned entertainment resort with a performance by IAM. True pioneers of French rap, the members of this group deliver powerful lyrics set to socially conscious music. Opening the show is D-Track, a Gatineau rapper whose sharp lyrics reflect his fifteen-year career. Let the music of Festiv’ÉTÉ carry you away. This series of free outdoor concerts takes place in the heart of Parc régional de Champboisé. On 8 August, groove to the sounds of Buck and the Outbreak. Take a seat, surround yourself with nature and enjoy this unique experience as the music drifts away under the summer sky. On 9 August, take part in a disco-themed time-travel evening. As the sun sets, the dance floor will come alive to the rhythm of the '70s, '80s and '90s, with the band Expérience Iconik and guest DJs providing the music.
