One of the gems of Gatineau Park! This 231-hectare country estate once belonged to William Lyon Mackenzie King, Canada’s 10th prime minister, who spent 50 years (from 1903 to 1950) beautifying and expanding it before bequeathing it to the Canadian people. Take a step back in time and see the faithfully restored cottages (now museums), historic ruins, flower-filled gardens, and popular hiking trails. Guided tours and interactive activities are available during the summer season. Gatineau Park is managed and protected by the National Capital Commission.
