March break means family activities ahead! To keep kids busy, the Outaouais region bursts with activities to satisfy their excess of energy. If your family likes climbing, Altitude Gym is a climbing center like no other you have to visit. With over 100 top-roping routes they will challenge all levels! For bouldering enthusiasts, your prime destination is Bloc 9.81. You can also test your aptitudes at Klimat, a training center located in Wakefield. Spring break also means later bedtimes! Immerse yourself in the world of wildlife through the Oniro light trail in the forest. All ages will be amazed by the different projections, sound effects, and lighting effects. On colder days, take the opportunity to discover the new exhibits at local museums! For a getaway in the area, plenty of accommodations located downtown are perfect for the whole family. For sporty families, opt for a day or evening of skiing at Sommet Edelweiss, where the little ones can burn off their energy and enjoy the fresh air. The summits offer slopes for all levels. For those who would like to learn, the ski school is ready to welcome you. You can also enjoy the snow tubing park! For those who love snow tubing, head to Domaine de l’Ange-Gardien or Centre touristique du Lac-Simon. You won’t be disappointed! If you haven’t had a chance to try cross-country skiing yet, this is the perfect time to do so before the season ends. Take advantage of the milder temperatures to set off on an adventure in the forest on your skis and discover magnificent landscapes. There are several places in the region where you can practice this sport and rent equipment, including the Centre de plein air du Lac-Leamy, the Relais plein air du parc de la Gatineau, the Parc des Montages Noires de Ripon, and the Sentiers les Renards Blancs.

This themed evening will begin with a pop culture trivia quiz followed by a DJ who will set the Place Laval on fire! Get ready to sing, dance, and laugh with Ari Cui Cui during this colorful musical show on March 21 at Salle Desjardins – Estacade cultural hub. For a wonderful evening with your partner or among friends, head to À la dérive Brasserie Artisanale, where a varied program awaits you! On March 9, enjoy an evening of comedy. No matter when you visit the pub, the staff will always welcome you with cold beers, mouthwatering dished, plenty of fun, and loads of laughs! Cheer on your little champions and share the joy of skiing with them in a warm and friendly atmosphere. From March 6 to 8 head to the Palais des congrès de Gatineau for the Gatineau-Ottawa Bicycle Show. Discover the most beautiful cycling routes and meet local exhibitors who are just as passionate about cycling as you. The latest cycling trends await you! On March 7, a festive evening awaits you at the Mont Cascades Resort during the Magic Night at Mont Cascades! Hit the slopes until midnight and be carried away by live music and entertainment. Until March 22, heat to the Gatineau Park and take part in the Animal Tracking on Snowshoes activity. During this 2-hour guided hike, discover nature at its best. The activity is free and snowshoes are provided! The departure point is at the Gatineau Park Visitor Centre.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., enjoy entertainment, maple taffy on snow, a BBQ, and lots of fun for the whole family. On March 21, it’s Place Notre-Dame’s turn to celebrate the season with Journée cabane à sucre! A festive and gourmet atmosphere awaits you, with a large and hearty banquet to enjoy.
