In Montebello, halfway between Gatineau and Montreal, a page of 19th-century history unfolds before our eyes. It's impossible to resist the temptation to enter the seigneurial domain of Louis-Joseph Papineau. Flanked by four towers, the manor reigns over its grounds punctuated by a landscaped garden, expansive lawns, and a wooded area crossed by a stream. Visitors will be delighted by this journey into the life of the patriot leader. On the agenda: a guided tour of the manor and its period outbuildings. Nostalgia guaranteed.
