NCC River House

Discover this century-old historic building, open year-round, located on the Ottawa River along the Sir George-Étienne Cartier Promenade. It features several amenities for enjoying the riverbanks, including a public dock surrounding a free deep-water swimming area, as well as dining options. Non-motorized boat rentals and a nearby boat launch are available. It’s the perfect destination to make the most of warm summer days. In winter, the multi-use trail is open for cross-country skiing. Parking is limited. The NCC’s riverside house is managed by the National Capital Commission.
