Did you know there’s a destination that offers unique culinary experiences celebrating local produce, historical tours, evening getaways with meals included, tours of haunted sites in the Outaouais Valley, and one-of-a-kind winter activities? And if I told you that free round-trip transportation is provided for all these activities, would you believe me? Aventure Outaouais features four passionate guides who are natives of the Outaouais region, a wide range of all-inclusive activities, and transportation included from several pickup locations in Gatineau and Ottawa. The company was born out of Brandon Bolduc’s passion for his native region, the Outaouais, which he loves to showcase through beautifully organized getaways. Today, Aventure Outaouais collaborates with more than 60 local businesses and fosters connections between the region’s various attractions, making them accessible to both tourists and locals. The tours offered to the public feature 4 to 5, sometimes up to 10 local businesses, thereby contributing to the vitality of the regional economy.
I experienced the Pontiac Wine and Cider Route, the famous tour that gave rise to Aventure Outaouais. Let me tell you, I really enjoyed the activity! My colleague and I were waiting in front of the Four Points by Sheraton Gatineau-Ottawa when we were pleasantly surprised to see a beautiful van arrive, decorated in the Aventure Outaouais colors. Brandon stepped out of the vehicle and invited us to hop on board. As we opened the sliding door, a soundtrack worthy of a road trip echoed from inside the van. Upon getting in, we met some friendly tourists who would be joining us for the day. We visited two wineries and a cidery, all nestled in beautiful natural settings, like hidden gems preserved by the Pontiac’s vast green spaces. To the sound of classics by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and the Eagles, we visited Domaine de Pontiac Village, a charming winery and antique cars museum. We tasted high-quality wines, each one as good as the next. We then stopped at the Little Red Ragon Winery, where a selection of wines and a generous platter of cold cuts and cheese awaited us. Adorned with works of art, the place evokes the array of flavors awaiting us during our visit. The tour ended at the Coronation Hall Cider Mills, a true historic site and, quite simply, the first cider house in Western Quebec. There, we tasted excellent apple ciders, as well as fresh apple juice and a traditional apple pie. What better way to end the day? The tour allowed us to discover three must-see spots in the region and their charming owners, who welcomed us with open arms and shared their infectious passion with us.
Other guided tours and turnkey activities are available, including a microbrewery tour where you can visit three rotating establishments from among several must-sees, such as 5e Baron Microbrewery, À La Dérive Brasserie Artisanale, Brasseurs des Collines, and Chelsea & Co. Craft Brewery. You can also explore the Petite Nation Wine and Cider Trail!
Aventure Outaouais offers the chance to meet local producers, discover well-hidden secrets, and experience the authentic side of the Outaouais.

Discover the origins of this charming village, as well as the activities and points of interest that have shaped its past, thanks to the Montebello Heritage Tour. Told through various themes, the village’s history immerses you in the legacy of the men and women who built Montebello, through the rich stories of a proud and vibrant community. Friendly, passionate, and well-read, she shares her valuable knowledge with us and invites us on this wonderful adventure of discovery in the most natural and relaxed way.
My colleague and I were lucky enough to experience the multi-course meal in Old Hull, a delightful culinary adventure where each course is enjoyed at a different restaurant. This little gourmet tour really opened my eyes to a whole array of exquisite dishes that simply blew me away. We started the getaway at Bobino Bagel, a local must-visit spot where we enjoyed a succulent bagel with toppings of our choice. We then visited Clandestin cuisine créative, where we were served shrimp acras, a delicious beef carpaccio, spring rolls, and french toast with foie gras. Next, we headed to Bistro CoqLicorne, where we opted for a hearty smoked salmon salad and arancini. We wrapped up our culinary adventure at the restaurant Le Cellier with a selection of exquisite desserts: a goat cheese cheesecake, a pear crème brûlée, and a chocolate-hazelnut cake. This is the kind of experience I love, especially when it ends with chocolate desserts!
For Flavie, food is an experience to be lived and shared. Enjoying good food is a moment that has the potential to create lasting memories and forge bonds we cherish. She’s committed to supporting local businesses and loves to vary the restaurants she features on her tours.
