Les Amis du parc de la Gatineau is a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster appreciation, understanding and protection of the Park's natural and cultural heritage. They offer nature and historical heritage interpretation services and support the National Capital Commission's interpretation services. They also provide funding and volunteer assistance for research projects in the Park, and manage programs designed to facilitate active public participation in the Park.

Shinrin Yoku

Shinrin Yoku

The workshop lasts about two and a half hours and takes place in a small group, in a calm and welcoming atmosphere.
​It begins with a brief introduction to Shinrin Yoku, followed by a slow, guided walk in the forest.
Throughout the experience, the certified guide offers gentle sensory invitations to encourage relaxation, awaken the senses, and foster a deeper connection to nature—supporting a greater sense of calm and mental clarity.

Come learn about the mysterious but fascinating “creatures of the night”: fireflies, moths, coyotes, bats, and flying squirrels, amongst others.
